Interlude…2
Continuing our first ever RV trip…
Day 2...more hiking, more exploring, more Koda fun and a feast for the eyes and soul... It was great to have Colin’s car, it was much easier and more practical than driving our “home” up and down the coast, through the forest, and up mountain roads.
First stop; lunch and chasing sticks at Ruby Beach. We set up and munched lunch while soaking in the scenery and crisp ocean air. Later, we took a leisure stroll and some time for photo opportunities, while Koda had a blast running up and down the pebbled beach.
A hike through Hoh Rain Forest, a few miles away, was next (even with warnings of local wildlife); the quiet serenity was enhanced with the humble feel of being among towering moss-covered giants, delicate, colorful blossoms and plant life, and majestic wildlife…and a couple of piercing whoops when Colin took to the air.
Rialto Beach was the last stop for the day, it’s a good thing that we were in relatively good form as climbing over all those fallen sentinels took some effort.
We ended our day gratefully with a beautiful evening sky lit with a fiery sunset...Mother Nature's artwork; and a pork chop, beer dinner…our artwork.
